Abandoning the Old Way

Sins · The Drowned God

‘What is dead may never die, but rises again, harder and stronger.’

Abandoning the Old Way

The “Old Way” is semi-religious tradition:

  • Reaving
  • Taking salt wives
  • Seafaring life
  • Strength through hardship

Choosing:

  • Farming as identity,
  • Courtly politics,
  • Southern chivalry,
  • Peaceful integration with the mainland,

would be viewed as moral decay.
