Abandoning the Old Way
✦
Sins · The Drowned God
‘What is dead may never die, but rises again, harder and stronger.’
Abandoning the Old Way
The “Old Way” is semi-religious tradition:
- Reaving
- Taking salt wives
- Seafaring life
- Strength through hardship
Choosing:
- Farming as identity,
- Courtly politics,
- Southern chivalry,
- Peaceful integration with the mainland,
would be viewed as moral decay.
