Cowardice in Battle

Sins · The Drowned God

‘What is dead may never die, but rises again, harder and stronger.’

Cowardice in Battle

Fear of death — especially death at sea — is deeply dishonorable.

Sins would include:

  • Fleeing battle,
  • Begging mercy,
  • Clinging desperately to life,
  • Avoiding danger when others face it.

The creed “What is dead may never die” rejects fear as faithlessness.
