Trial By Combat:
Trial by combat is a duel to to decide the Innocent party by showing which side has the favour of the Gods. However this is reserved for Knights and other Nobility of the Realm.
Procedure:
Once the defendant has called for there right for a Trial By Combat the following must occur:
The accuser must select the weapons for the duel.
The Defendant and Accuser are then required to mutually decide on a time for the Trial.
Trial:
Upon the commencement of the Trial the Defendant and the Accused may choose to either represent themselves or choose a champion to fight on there behalf. This champion must be a Knight of the Realm.
Either side wins when the other either yields or is executed (they may get back up until this is achieved).
If the defendant wins they are cleared of all charges, if the defendant yields they will be considered guilty and sentenced for there crimes.
